Dhaka– Police in a drive arrested 17 suspected members of Jamaat-e-Islami, banned militant outfits Hizb ut-Tahrir and Ahle Hadith from Jhornapar in the city on Saturday afternoon.UNB agencyTipped off that a group of militants were holding a clandestine meeting at a house at Jhornapar, a team of police conducted a drive there and arrested them, said Officer-in-charge of Double Mooring Police Station Mahiuddin Selim.Later, a case was filed against the arrestees under the Anti-Terrorism Act, the OC added.
