The 2-day election of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association has begun at 10 am on Sunday. Voting will continue up to 5 pm with an hour of lunch break on both days.A total of 4,362 voters casting their votes in the SCBA election this year. Incumbent president Khandakar Mahbub Hossain and general secretary Mahbubuddin Khokan are contesting from the pro-Bnp Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi forum while senior advocate Muhammad Yusuf Hossain Humayun and Momtajuddin Ahmed Mehedi are fighting from the pro-AL Sommilita Ainjibi Somannoy panel.
A total of 31 candidates are contesting the electionagainst a total of 14 posts. There are two independent candidates for the post of president – Md. Yunus Ali Akond and Md. Obaidul Huq. – News Desk
