Two fish traders were killed as a truck hit a pickup van carrying them
in Raipur area of Daudkandi upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Alam Mia, 45, resident of Changakandi
village of Daudkandi upazila, and Amal Chandra Das, 42, of West
Srirambi village of Sadar upazila of Chandpur.
Police and locals said a Dhaka-bound truck from Chittagong knocked
down a Daudkandi-Bound fish-laden pickup van from behind in the area
at about 8.00am, leaving the two dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital
morgue for autopsy.
Later, police also seized the two vehicles and its drivers from the
