Comilla – Two people were killed and eight others injured as a microbus they were travelling in overturned at Minsar in Burichang upazila on Friday noon.The deceased were identified as microbus driver Sohel Ahmed, 30, son of Kamru Miah of Potar Mohal in Moulvibazar and its passenger Nur-e-Alam, 10, son of Belal Hossain of Kachua in Chandpur.
Sub-inspector Amar Chandra Paul of Mynamati Highway Police Station said the Chandpur-bound microbus from Moulvibazar turned turtle on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway around 12 noon after its rear tyres got deflated.
The accident left Sohel and Nur dead on the spot and eight passengers injured.
The injured were rushed to nearby Eastern Medical College Hospital.
Police recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital morgue for autopsy. – UNB
