20-party demands trial of comilla petrol bomb attackers

The Bnp-led 20-party alliance on Tuesday demanded punishment of those who are involved in throwing petrol bomb on a bus in Chouddagram, comilla killing seven passsengers and injuring 17 others.
In a statement issued to the press Bnp joint secretary general Salahuddin complained that the government was taking recourse to violent and subversive activities to malign the movement, shift the attention of the people from the movement and earn sympathy in its favour.Demanding arrest and exemplary punishment of the perpetrators of the crime the Bnp leader also called for taking care so that innocent people are not harassed and made skapegoats.
Salahuddin said that the comilla petrol bomb attack was just like the jatrabari bomb attack of a few days ago. Such a planned attack can only be executed by government agents so that the responsibility can be shifted on the opposition, he said. – Staff Reporter
