Rangamati, May 28 – Three members of United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) were killed in a gunfight between its two factions at Korolyachhari in Baghaichhari Upazila early Monday. The deceased were identified as Sushil Chakma, Smrity Chakma, and Atol Chakma.
Members of main UPDF and Ganatantrik UPDF locked into the gun battle around 4 am over the previous enmity, leaving the three dead, said Nurul Anwar, officer-in-charge of Sajek police station, adding that another member Kanon Chakma was injured critically. – UNB
