40 rescued in Satkhira while being trafficked to India

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) rescued 40 people, including women and children, from Gazipur border area in Sadar upazila on Sunday night while they were being trafficked to India.The rescued people hail from different areas of the Bagerhat and Pirojpur districts.Being tipped off, a team of BGB-38 conducted drive in the area around 11pm and rescued the 40 people, including 12 women and eight children, while they were being trafficked to the neighboring country through the border.Later the rescued ones were handed over to Satkhira sadar police station on Sunday morning. -UNB, Satkhira
