Wednesday morning to press home their 14-point demand.

division with other parts of the country came to a halt with the
strike beginning at 6.00 am.
Tajul Islam Mukul, president of Sarak Paribahan Sramik Federation of
Rangpur unit, called the strike yesterday (Tuesday) to press home
their 14-point demand, including end to harassment of workers by
police, removal of Kotwali thana OC Shahab Uddin Khalifa, stopping
extortion by highway police, hike in the wage of the workers and
providing transport license to them on easy condition.
The federation also threatened to call another 72-hour strike unless
