Jhenaidah: At least 5 people including a hemp peddler was arrested from various areas in Jhenidah on Monday.
Shailkupa thana officer in charge Md. Moniruzzaman said a hemp peddler identified as Saidul Islam, 21, son of Dulal Mondol of Mondolpara under Sheikhpara village in Shailkupa upazila in Jhenidah was arrested with 30 kilogram hemp in red handed when he was going to home from Sheikhpara bazaar on last night. A case was filed in Shailkupa thana with this incident.Beside, Mohehspur thana officer in charge Akram Hossain said two Jamaat activists identified as Ramjan and Asadul Islam was arrested from the town for creating anarchy at 5th January election date and disturbing police duty case.
Beside, Kaliganj thana officer incharge Monir uddin Mollah said two wanted prisoners identified as Abdus Salam and Jashim Uddin were arrested from the town.
