Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested five activists of Jubo League, youth wing of Awami
League, along with arms and weapons in Circuit House area of district town on Saturday.
The arrestees were identified as Rakib, 21, son of Abdur Razzaque, Nantu, 28, his younger
brother Jhantu, 26, both sons of late Shukur Ali, Nazmul, 28, son of Abdul Zabbar of the town
and Tuhin, 18, son of Mozibur Rahman of Darogapara village in Munshiganj district.
Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Bogra DB Police, said a patrol team of DB police
intercepted the five on suspicion while they on two motorcycles were going through the road in
front of circuit house.
Later, detectives searched their bodies and recovered seized a US made pistol, four bullets and
two draggers.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrestees said they are Jubo League activists.
