Dhaka – Five construction workers died reportedly inhaling toxic gas inside an under-construction septic tank at Saraskathi village in Keshabpur upazila i Jessore on Monday afternoon.The deceased were identified as Ahad Ali Gazi, 45, and Shafiqul Islam, 23, of Barandali village; Abdul Hamid, 22, Iqbal Hossain, 35,and Ibad Hossain, 28, of nearby Sahapur village in the upazila.Constable Zahidul Islam of Keshabpur Police Station said the five workers went down the septic tank around 4 pm to remove support of its newly-built slab.However, they died one after another inside the tank inhaling toxic gas, he said, adding that a police team, led by inspector (Investigation) Sheikh Masudur Rahman, went to the spot.
