7 alleged JMB activists sent to jail

A court in Mymensingh on Tuesday sent seven suspected activists of the banned Islamic outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to jail in two explosion cases.
Judge of the Mymensingh Cognisance Court-2 Mehnaz Siddiqui passed the order after police produced them before her court seeking a seven–day remand for them.Police in separate drives arrested the five suspected JMB activists from Fulbaria upazila on Monday, said Rifat Khan, officer-in-charge of Fulbari police station.
The arresteed persons were Abdul Barek Munshi, 45, a teacher of Jarbaria Balika Dakhil Madrasah, Touhiduzzamn Abu, 27, son of Nur Ahmad Chowdhury if Radhakanai village, Abdul Hannan, 26, son of Shahabuddin of Echail Khamar Char village, Mohammad Tuel, son of Abdul Kashem of Tukkir Par village, and Tazamul Haque, 45, son of Hafez Ali of the Chak Radhakanai village in the upazila.
Besides, a team of Muktagachha Police Station in another drive arrested two JMB men –- Garibullah Akanda and Mohammad Ali Master –- from separate areas of Muktagachha upazila on Monday noon. – UNB
