Detective police nabbed seven people from the capital’s Mohammadpur and Mirpur areas with firearms and bullets in raids from Thursday night until Friday morning.Police says they all belong to an ‘arms smuggling’ racket. There are two women among the nabbed.
Detective Police Additional Deputy Commissioner Sanowar Hossain confirmed bdnews24.com of the raids and the arrest.
Six pistols, 70 rounds of bullets and drugs were found in their possession, he said.
Details of the development would be revealed in a press conference in the afternoon, he added.
