Police in a drive recovered seven foreign made firearms from Katheshwari area in Shyamnagar upazila early Tuesday.Officer-in-charge of Shyamnagar Police Station Aslam Khan said on July 18, police arrested a timber pilferer named Milon, 38, along with one firearm and six rounds of bullet from Gabura of the upazila.Police arrested another timber lifter, Al-Amin, 40, from Sora village on Monday night on the basis of information given by Milon.Later, Shyamnagar thana police along with the detained two forest robbers conducted a drive in Katheshwari area of Sundarbans (Satkhira range) at about 5.00 am and recovered seven firearms—two double-barrel guns, four single-barrel guns and one rifle. – UNB, Satkhira
