Dhaka- A mobile court, in a drive, seized 200- maund of jatka (small hilsa fish) from Rupatoli area in the city in Barisal this afternoon.The court also sentenced two persons to 18 and 13 months jail respectively and fined another Taka 5,000 for catching and selling jatka.On a tip-off, the team intercepted a truck in the area and recovered the jatka after searching the truck and arrested the trio. Later, they were produced before the court, said fisheries officer Bimal Das.The seized jataka was distributed to the poor and different madrasas and orphanages in the district.BSS
