Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) recovered 26 crude bombs and 4.5 kg gunpowder in Kasba area of Poba upazila here on Saturday night.
Tipped-off, a team of Rab conducted a drive in the area at about 9:15pm and recovered the bombs and gunpowder from a bag in an abandon condition, said Shafiqul Islam, a commanding officer of Rab-5.No one was arrested in this connection.The bombs and gunpowder might have been kept there to carry out
sabotage in the area during countrywide hartal enforced by the BNP-led 18-party alliance, said Shafiqul Islam. -UNB, Rajshahi
