Police in a drive arrested a man along with a firearm from his house in Mollah Para area under Kotwali thana of the district town early Tuesday.
The arrestee was identified as Jahid Hossain, 32, son of Afzal Hossain of the area. Sources at Kotwali thana said a police team, on a tip-off, raided Jahid’s house in the early hours and arrested him along with one foreign-made pistol and one bullet.
