Leader of an organised inter-district dacoits’ gang Badshah Miah was killed by unknown
assailants in Koikuri area of Gangachara upazila this morning, police said.
Police primarily suspects that Badshah, 48, of Okrabari village of the same upazila might have
been strangled by the members of his gang following internal feuds.
Police recovered the body and sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue.
A number of dacoity, murder, extortion and other criminal cases have been pending against the
deceased with different police stations in the region, Officer- in-Charge of Gangachara Model
