Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in separate drives seized huge quantity of Indian rice and drugs from Birampur upazila of the district yesterday.
Lt Col. Lutful Karim, BGB Commander, Fulbari said BGB team conducted a drive in Ghoraghat-Hili rail crossing area of the upazila and recovered 10 tonnes Indian rice worth about Taka 86 lakh and 500 bottle of phensidyl after searching a truck.The BGB team also seized 7,000 pieces of sex stimulating tablets from Ghasuria frontier of the same upazila, he added.Different cases were filed with concerned thana in these connections. –BSS, Dinajpur
