Police in a drive arrested a local leader of Jamaat-e- Islami from Natun Bazar area of Chhatak upazila on Wednesday.The arrestee was identified as Faizur Rahman, son of Akbar Ali, resident of Jagannathpur village and acting chairman of Chhoila-Afzalabad union of the upazila.Police conducted a drive in the area in the afternoon and arrested Faizur, said Harun-or-Rashid, officer-in-charge of Chhatok police station.He was arrested in a case filed over assaulting police, added OC. -UNB, Sylhet
