A Dhaka court Monday sent BNP standing committee member MK Anwar to jail in
a case filed for his “derogatory” comment against Swechhasebak League
leader Debashish Biswas.Metropolitan Magistrate Harun Ur Rashid sent Anwar to jail on Monday after
he had surrendered to the court at noon and sought bail in the case.
The Swechhasebak League leader filed the case against MK Anwar on May 7.
The complaint added Anwar at a press conference on Monday said Debashish
burnt down the Holy Quran near Baitul Mukarram Mosque during Hefajat
violence on May 5.
