A student can open bank account for Tk 100 only

Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued a circular on Tuesday that the students aged six to eighteen years can open bank accounts. These accounts will be transferred to general saving accounts after their age of 18. They also can use ATM booths. No charge will be cut from these accounts This is undoubtedly a good initiative by the BB though it is late.I would like to request the concerned authorities of the BB to offer a very small amount of deposit scheme for the students, who have no parents and or their parents are ultra poor, to enable them to borrow student-loan under a monthly scheme so that they can continue their studies if they are meritorious.
