Dhaka -Miscreants killed an AL activist of Daulatpur Thana due to controlling over the supremacy of a shrimp gher at Beel Pabla area in the early hours of today.Police recovered the dead body from a shrimp gher at Beel Pabla area under Arong Ghata Police Station here around 8.30 am.The deceased was identified as Mohidul Islam Bandh, 45, son of late Mokter Hossain Bandh, residence of Deana area under Daulatpur Police Station in the city.Mohidul left behind his wife, one son, two daughters and a large number of well-wishers to morn his death.He was a younger brother of Shahidul Islam Bandh, General Secretary of Daulatpur Thana Unit AL, went to his son in law shrimp gher at Beel Pabla area last evening. But he did not return home, his family members rushed to the shrimp gher around 8:30 am this morning and found him dead.On information, Police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The body was sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.Later the body was handed over to his family members after autopsy. His elder brother Shahedul Islam Bandh said, there was a long standing feud between a leader of an outlawed party and a youth Moon, son in law of his younger brother over the ownership of this shrimp gher.Recently Mohidul recovered the shrimp gher in favour of his son-in-law from his rival possession.Officer-in-Charge of Daulatpur Police Station Nasim Khan said Mohidul was killed by his rival over controlling the supremacy of the shrimp gher of his son-in-law.
