AL holds joint meeting in Panchagarh to resist violence

A joint meeting of district Awami League (AL) and its associate organisations was organised at Panchagarh district AL office last night to resist blockade, hartal and violence in the name of political movements.
President of Panchagarh district AL and Member of the Parliament from Panchagarh-2 constituency Advocate Nurul Islam Shujan presided over the meeting.The leaders and activists of Panchagarh district AL and its all associate organisations participated in the meeting.Member of the Parliament from reserved constituency no-301 Selina Jahan Lita, Panchagarh Zila Parishad Administrator Advocate Abu Bakar Siddik, Sadar upazila Chairman Anwar Sadat Samrat, Vice-president of district AL ATM Sarwar Hossain, its Organising Secretary addressed the meeting, among others.The speakers strongly condemned the blockade, hartal, violence, killing of innocent people through hurling patrol bombs, uprooting rail lines, hindering SSC examinations and subversive activities of the BNP-Jamaat-led 20-party alliance.The BNP-Jamaat-Shibir terrorists have been playing with lives and properties of the people, such anarchy will not be allowed and the root of terrorists will definitely be uprooted involving the common people, they said.
They called upon the leaders and activists of AL and its associate organisations, pro-liberation forces and common people for thwarting the terrorism, militancy, anarchy, violence, killing of innocent citizens and destructions to ensure peace in the society.
After the meeting, leaders of AL and its associate organisations
