AL infighting injures 30 in Faridpur

At least 30 people were injured in a clash between two factions of Awami League over supremacy at Sonatandi village under Saltha upazila of the district.The clash took place between supporters of deputy leader of the Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury and district Awami League ATM Halim from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Wednesday.
Sources said both the groups locked into clash with homemade weapons entering establishing supremacy in the area, leaving at least 30 people injured.
The injured were rushed to Nagarkanda and Faridpur Medical College Hospital.
Both the groups vandalised and looted each other’s houses and valuables during three-hour-long clash.
Sub-Inspector of Saltha Thana Forhad Hossain confirmed the news.
On July 20, at least 20 people, including ATM Halim and journalists, were injured in an attack by supporters of Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury at Saltha upazila. – banglanews24,com
