A ward level leader of ruling Awami League has been stabbed to death by miscreants at Dubail village under Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh.
Deceased Mohor Uddin, 60, was vice-president of ward 1 of Gafargaon upazila’s Niguari union.
Victim’s brother Abdul Hamid said Mohor Ali was having tea at a shop around 9:30pm Monday when a group of miscreants stabbed in his head, leaving him critically injured.
With the help of local UP member Shamsuddin, Mohor was rushed to Sreepur upazila health complex where on-duty doctor declared him dead around 11:30pm.
Sreepur upazila health complex doctor Sadia Afrin said stab marks were spotted in the head of the deceased.
