More allocation for children in national budget demanded

Speakers, including Shishu Forum leaders, at a press conference have demanded more allocation in education, health and welfare sectors in the national budget for the children ensuring their overall development.
Fulbari Upazila Shishu Forum (FUSF) with assistance of Fulabri Area Development Programme (ADP) of World Vision Bangladesh (WVB) organised the press conference at upazila parishad auditorium in Fulabri upazila town of Dinajpur on Tuesday afternoon.General Secretary of Northern Bangladesh (Rangpur) Shishu Forum Armina Akhter read out written statement in the press conference narrating the importance of more budgetary allocation for the children in different sectors.Presided over by Fulbari ADP Manager Pabitra B Costa, Fulabri Upazila Nirbahi officer Mohammad Moniruzzaman, Upazila Cooperative Officer Abdur Rouf, Fulbari Press Club President Amor Chand Gupta Apu, attended the occasion as invited guests.Headmasters and teachers of different secondary levels schools, members of the Shishu Forums from different districts and upazilas of Rangpur region, officials and executives of different NGOs and local media workers attended the press conference.In his speech, Upazila Nirbahi officer Mohammad Moniruzzaman highly appreciated the presentations and speeches of the members of difference Shishu Forums on budgetary thoughts and conceptions for their smooth and overall development.“The present government puts maximum emphasis on ensuring development of the children on priority basis,” he said and committed to forward the demands and suggestions of the children to the concerned ministry for implementation. –BSS, Rangpur
