Attorney General Mahbubey Alam gets death threat

Dhaka, July 19 – Attorney General of Bangladesh Mahbubey Alam received a ‘death threat’ on Thursday afternoon.
The officer-in-charge of Shahbagh Police Station Abul Hasan told UNB that AG’s Personal Secretary Kabir Ahmed registered a general diary with the police station in this connection. According to the GD, the death threat was issued in a letter which reached the attorney general’s office in the afternoon.
The anonymous man threatened to kill him.
Earlier the chairman of the University Grants Commission Prof. Abdul Mannan complained of receiving a similar death threat. A case has been filed with police in this connection. – UNB
