Autopsy finds no injury sign on Shakil’s body

Dhaka – Forensic specialists at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday said no injury mark was found on the body of Mahbubul Hoque Shakil, Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina’s special assistant, who was found dead at a city restaurant on Tuesday.
Associate Professor Dr Sohel Mahmud, head of the Forensic Department of DMCH, said they did not find any injury mark on the body of Shakil after conducting an autopsy.
The reason behind the death of the PM’s special assistant could be known after getting the viscera report, Sohel added.
Earlier in the morning, Shakil’s body was taken to DMCH from Birdem Hospital mortuary to conduct the autopsy.
Shakil, also a former vice-president of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), died at a restaurant in the city’s Gulshan area on Tuesday. -UNB
