Bangladeshi killed by BSF: Body found in Panchagarh river

The body of a Bangladeshi man, who was tortured to death by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF), was recovered from the Jamuna River in  Joydharbhanga area in Panchagarh Sadar upazila on Friday morning.The deceased was identified as Jahangir Rambilas, 31, of Natun Bandar village of the upazila.
Police and Border Guard Bangladesh said local people found the floating body of Rambilas in the river near main pillar No 761 under Joydharbhanga BOP in the morning and informed BGB.
Later, Panchagarh Sadar police, after receiving information from BGB, recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy, said Humayan Kabir, officer-in-charge of the police Station.
The victim’s family members said the BSF members from Jhakuapara camp tortured Rambilas to death and dumped the body on the river. – UNB
