A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident on the Daulatdia-Khulna
Highway in sadar upazila of the district on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Kazi Riaz, 30, son of Kazi Afsar Uddin,
a resident of Bhobanipur village of the upazila.
Anwar Hossain, sergeant of Ahladipur highway police, said a speeding
truck hit Riaz’s motorcycle from behind and ran over him on the road
in Basantapur area around 7:30pm while he was going towards Faridpur
town, leaving him dead on the spot.
