A battalion commander-level flag meeting between Border Guard
Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) was held in
Jaintapur Upazila on Monday.
The meeting was held at Tamabil Border Conference Centre. 5 BGB
Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Md Maksudul Alam led the BGB
team while 108 BSF Battalion Commander DS Bist led the BSF team.
The meeting lasting for about three hours, aimed at solving some
border issues including prevention of smuggling.
Meeting sources said that it was held in a cordial atmosphere. Both
sides discussed different frontier problems like prevention of
smuggling and other issues.
Staff officer and Company camp commander of both sides also present at
