Police recovered the body of a businessman from the Bhairab River at Shuvarara village under Abhaynagar upazila of the district on Friday. The deceased was identified as Sarder Nazrul Islam, 45, son of Hormuz Sarder of the village.
Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore General Hospital morgue.
Police and family sources said some unknown persons entered his house and took him away forcibly on Wednesday night. He might have killed by miscreants for previous enmity, police said.
A case was filed in this connection.
BSS from Manikganj adds: Police recovered a body of an undefined middle aged man from Mohadebpur Bus Stand area on Dhaka Aricha Highway under Shibalaya upazila on Friday. Officer-in-charge of Shibalaya Police Station Abul kalam Azad said, on information, police rushed to the spot and found the body tied with the grille of a medical center in the area.
Police sent the body to Manikganj Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed with the concerned thana in this connection.
