Bomb attack on Moitree Express in Pabna

Miscreants hurled three petrol bombs at the Dhaka-bound ‘Maitree Express’ train at Ishwardi Railway Station in Pabna on Sunday, the first day of the fresh 72-hour hartal enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance alongside a non-stop blockade programme.Pakshi Railway Station general manager Mosharaf Hossain said the Dhaka-bound ‘Moitree Express Train’ coming from Kolkata, India reached the Ishwardi station around 1:45pm.
When the train started moving towards its destination after a 10-minute halt there, some miscreants tossed the three petrol bombs on the locomotive of the train around 1:57pm, triggering a fire.
Fire-fighters of the train with the help of local people put out the fire right away, Mosharaf added.
The train left for Dhaka after changing its locomotive around 4:10 pm. – UNB
