BPUP calls for stopping violence, communalism

Leaders of district unit of Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad (BPUP) at a human chain here have called for stopping all sorts of violence, anarchy, terrorism, killing of innocent people and communalism.They urged the common people irrespective of political and religious faiths to become united in line with the spirit of the War of Liberation against violence, destruction, killing of innocent people through hurling petrol bombs and subversive activities.The district unit of BPUP organised the human chain at Press Club premises in the city on Friday with a call for resisting the violence and communalism,anarchy, hurling petrol bombs and killing of innocent people in the name of political movement.President of the district unit of BPUP Advocate Rothish Chandra Bhowmick presided over the human chain participated by leaders of BPUP and different political parties and socio-cultural organisations, professionals and civil society members.General Secretary of district Awami League (AL) Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju,Convener of district Swechchasebak League Moazzem Hossain Lablu, Vice- president of city AL Dilshad Hossain Mukul, JSD leader Gautam Roy, President of district Chhatra League Mehedi Hassan Ronny, its former President Biplob Biswas, General Secretary of Rangpur Dharmoshava Partho Bose, Mahiganj Press Club President Bablu Nag and General Secretary of City Shop Owners’Association Rezaul Islam Litan addressed.The speakers narrated the devil designs of the vested quarters to destabilise the country and called for stopping terrorism, violence, killings, militancy and communalism in the name of political movements.They asked the pro-liberation forces and common people for forging a rock-solid unity against violence, communalism and killing of innocent people through hurling petrol bombs for establishing the core spirit of the War of Liberation and peace in the society. -BSS, Rangpur
