Thakurgaon, Dec 16 (UNB) – Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up a Bangladeshi national from Molani-Dharmagar frontier area of the district on Monday.BGB sources said Kazirul Islam, 35, son of Ibrahim Ali of Maradhar village in Haripur upazila was picked up as he went to work on a field near pillar No 373 in between Molani and Dharmagar border point in the morning.
When he mistakenly crossed the border, BSF troops of Pokradah camp caught him and took to their camp.
Lt Col Kamal Ahmed, commanding officer of Thakurgaon BGB-30 Battalion, confirmed the matter and said they have sent a letter to their Indian counterpart demanding the return of Kazirul.
Earlier, on Sunday morning, BSF troops picked up another Bangladeshi youth from Beurjhari border point in Baliadangi upazila. – UNB
