Detectives in a drive arrested a Buddhist monk along with 2,785 pieces of Yaba tablet from a hotel in district town on Wednesday.The arrestee was identified as Owara Marma, a resident of Keyajupara area of Lama upazila and a Buddhist monk.Mohammad Rafiqullah, officer-in-charge of DB police, said on secret information they conducted a raid in a room of Hillbird Hotel in the town around 1:30pm and arrested Owara along the Yaba tablets worth Tk2.75 lakh.His other associate Shoilha Marma managed to flee.Later the arrestee was handed over to Sadar Police Station.
