Buet student dies from stab injuries

A  Buet student, who was stabbed at his dormitory on April 9, succumbed to his injuries at Square Hospital in the city early Tuesday.Arif Raihan Dwip, 25, a 3rd year student of department of Mechanical Engineering of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) was stabbed by another student of the university at Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall of the university.
He was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and then shifted to Square Hospital. He died at about 3:30 am on Tuesday.
Earlier on April 18, Detective Branch of Police (DB) arrested Mejbah Uddin Ahmed (24), a 4th year student of department of Civil Engineering of the same university, in connection with stabbing Arif, a resident of Nazrul Islam Hall.
Arif was a member of the convener committee of Bangladesh Chhatra League, Buet unit.
The body of Arif was taken to the Buet campus where a namaz-e-janaza was held. Later, the body was taken to his village home in Pirojpur,.
