Rangamati – Chakma Rajmata Aroti Roy Chakma, wife of late Raja Tridiv Roy, died early Monday. She was 81.
Aroti Roy, who had been suffering from liver disease, breathed her last around 3:00am on the way to Rangamati from Dhaka by a helicopter, Rangamati Civil Surgeon Dr Sneha Kanti Chakma said.
Aroti, mother of Chakma Circle Chief Barrister Debashish Roy, was admitted to a private hospital in the city on April 16.
She was being shifted to Rangamati from the hospital as her condition deteriorated on Sunday night.
