Charge framing against BNP’s Khoka June 25

A Dhaka court yesterday fixed June 25 for hearing on charge framing in a graft case filed against former undivided Dhaka City Corporation mayor Sadeque Hossain Khoka.
Sunday was earlier fixed for the hearing on charge framing when Khoka’s counsel Advocate Mohsin Mia submitted a petition seeking time. Following the petition Judge Md Dolil Uddin of Dhaka’s Special Judge Court-1 passed the order.Meanwhile, Sadeque Hossain Khoka challenged the cognizance order of the court about the case. The hearing was deferred 11 times as Khoka failed to submit the necessary order of the High Court against the cognizance of the court.
Of the other three accused of the case- president of Dhaka City Corporation Super Market Shop Owners’ Association Abdul Baten Nakib and Good Luck Car Parking Manager AHM Tareque were present in the courtroom while on behalf of the remaining accused general secretary of the association, Mahmud Hasan Azad his lawyer submitted a petition seeking time.
