President of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury on Sunday said the success of the opposition-backed candidates in the elections to the four city corporations demonstrated that the government has become isolated.In a statement, he said, “The huge victory of the opposition-supported candidates has proved that the current government has got alienated from people.”
The BDB chief, whose party has announced to form a separate alliance with BNP, said people by giving their right ballot verdict in the four city corporations despite the various evil designs by the government sent out a message that they are in favour of truth.
Badruddoza demanded the government immediately arrange elections to the bifurcated Dhaka city corporations. (Source: UNB)
