Law enforcers on Wednesday night blocked the supply of food and bottled water to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s office meant for her office staff and security personnel.
As a van carrying packets of cooked food and bottled water reached in front of the BNP chief’s office around 7:40pm, police personnel deployed there intercepted it and asked it’s pullers to go back without supplying the items.Later, two policemen took the van to the south side of the road-86 in Gulshan 2,
BNP chairperson’s media wing member Shamsuddin Didar said the food and water had been taken for nearly 50 office staff and Khaleda Zia’s security personnel.
He said police restricted the supply of the food and water for them without any reason. A sub-inspector of Gulshan Police Station Sabbir Rahman however said he has no idea about the matter.
Khaleda’s Gulshan office staff said food for Khaleda, other party leaders and office staff who have been staying there since January 03 are supplied coocked food from outside. – Agencies
