CPB, SPB slam communal attacks

Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and Socialist Party of Bangladesh

(SPB) on Saturday organised marches and rallies at different parts of
the capital in protest against the recent communal attacks on
minorities. Addressing the rallies at Paltan, Mohammadpur Krishi
Market and Mirpur 10 Intersection, CPB and SPB leaders called for
ideological, social and cultural fight against communal forces in the
country. They urged all the pro-liberation forces of the country to
form committees to resist communalism at every locality. They also
demanded the government immediately ban the politics of communal,
anti-liberation forces like Jamaat-Shibir to move towards the
fulfillment of the dream of a secular Bangladesh as dreamt by people
during the Liberation War in 1971. The left leaders also slammed the
government and the Election Commission (EC) for their failure to
protect the people of minority communities from communal attacks. –
