Destiny sues 3 looting Tk 6 crore worth of valuables

Multi-level marketing company Destiny Group on Tuesday lodged a case against thee people for looting valuables worth about Tk six crore from its headquarters in the city.
Mahabubur Rahman, Chief Auditor of the company filed the case with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Tuesday morning. Magistrate Hasibul Haque took into the cognizance of the charge and directed the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalabagan Police Station of the capital to investigate the case.Golam Hossin, owner of Nasir Trade Centre, Belayet Hossain, owner of Botanic Aroma Limited and Fakhruddin Ahmed, chief executive officer of Vivek Security and Services Limited, were made accused in the case.
According to the case statement, Destiny Group was established with 35 different companies while its headquarters is located on the 6, 7, 8, 11, and 13 levels of Nasir Trade Centre in the city’s Kalabagan area.
The court confiscated Destiny’s wealth temporarily in corruption cases and the police were made receiver of the wealth.
On last August 23 and November 21, the accused allegedly stormed into the headquarters of the company and looted valuables worth about Tk 50 crore. Following the incident, a case was filed with Kalabagan Police Station against the accused.
Later they secured bail in the case and again looted valuables worth about Tk six crore from headquarters, the statement added. – Court Correspondent
