Dhaka, Jan 27 (UNB) – Jatiya Party on Sunday started selling nomination forms to those who want to contest the February-28 by-election to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) with the party support.
Jatiya Party presidium member and its Dhaka North unit president SM Faisal Chisti formally distributed the nomination forms among its aspirants for the mayor and councillor posts of the by-polls in the morning at the party’s Banani office.
Speaking at the programme, Chisti said their party candidates will do very well if the election is held in a fair and credible manner.
As an election-oriented party, he said, Jatiya Party will participate in all the upcoming elections.
Jatiya Party central leaders MA Razzak Khan, Abdus Sattar, its Dhaka North city unit leaders Md Anisur Rahman Khokon, Haji Nasir Uddin Sarker and Helal Uddin were, among others, present at the event.
