Don’t make farewell outrageous, says Fakhrul

DHAKA: Opposition BNP’s acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Monday said the government should find a path for better exit.
“The time of the government is over. You should not make your farewell outrageous by doing undemocratic activities,” the BNP leader said indicating the government.
The spokesperson for the BNP was addressing a rally organised by the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal at city’s Suhrawardy Udyan to mark 6th anniversary of release of BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman.
Mirza Fakhrul criticised the government as Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) didn’t give permission for the rally and for the arrests of JCD leader-activists from processions coming to the rally.
He said, “We have to initiate a new phase of politics in Bangladesh and Tarique Rahman is the pioneer on the way.” He advised JCD activists to prepare themselves as a vanguard for upcoming movements.
Other senior BNP leaders also addressed the programme chaired by JCD President Abdul Kader Bhuiyan Jewel. – Banglanews24.com
