Chittagong Metropolitan Police recovered 300 bottles of contraband Phensidyle syrup from Barapool area of Halishahor thana in the city today.
Police arrested a drug peddler Mohammad Azad Hossain,20, son of Abdul Aziz hailed from Sadarghat area in the city.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Halishahor thana police detained Azad with private car from Barapool area and recovered 300 bottles of contraband Phensidyle syrups.
Police said the drug traders stored the Phensidyle in the car. A case was filed with Halishahor thana in this connection.
