Dhaka – The Election Commission (EC) is going to hold a views-exchange meeting with mayoral and councillor contestants of the upcoming Narayanganj City Corporation election on Thursday.
Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad along with his three deputies will exchange views with the candidates for ensuring an election-friendly environment by maintaining the code of conduct in the NCC election slated for December 22 next.
At the meeting to be held at Narayanganj Club in Narayanganj at 10:30am, the contesting candidates are expected to raise their complaints, suggestions and opinions over the second NCC polls.
Three election commissioners Mohammad Abdul Mobarak, Mohammad Abu Hafiz and Md Shah Nawaz are supposed to join the meeting to be chaired by the CEC, said Director (PR) at the EC Secretariat SM Asaduzzaman told UNB. -UNB
