Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered fake Indian currency notes worth six lakh rupees from Shingnagar border area in Shibganj upazila early Thursday.Chapainawabganj BGB Battalion-9 commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Abu Zafar Sheikh Mohammad Bazlul Haque said on secret information, a team of the border force conducted a drive in Tarapur field of the border area at about 4:00 am.Sensing the presence of the border force, a gang of the smugglers managed to flee the scene leaving behind two bags.Later, BGB troops recovered fake Indian notes worth 6 lakh rupees from the two bags.The recovered fake Indian notes were deposited to Shibganj Police Station.
