Female Bangladesh journalist hacked to death in Pabna

Pabna, Aug 28 – A female journalist was hacked to death by a group of unidentified assailants in front of her home at Radhanagar Majumdarparha in Pabna district town of Bangladesh on Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Suborna Akhter Nodi, 32, the Pabna district correspondent of private channel Ananda TV and the Daily Jagroto Bangla newspaper.
Goutam Kumar Biswas, additional superintendent of Pabna police, said responding to knocks, Nodi opened the door and came under the attack around 10 pm. The assailants hacked her indiscriminately with a sharp weapon, leaving her critically injured.
Later, locals took her to Pabna General Hospital where the duty doctor declared her dead.
On information, police visited the spot but the mystery of the murder could not be known yet, the official added. – UNB
